  "lineage": "The żaqq is the Maltese bagpipe: a whole animal skin fitted with a double chanter of two parallel cane pipes ending in a horn bell, without separate drones. It was played with the tanbur, a large frame drum with jingles, for dancing and festive occasions, but by the later twentieth century only a few elderly players remained, recorded by fieldworkers in their last years of playing; the revival group Etnika later brought the żaqq and tanbur back on record.",
