  "lineage": "German-language opera, mostly comic, in which spoken dialogue replaces recitative between songs, arias and ensembles. Johann Adam Hiller and the librettist Christian Felix Weisse established it in Leipzig in the 1760s and 1770s, and in Vienna Emperor Joseph II founded a National Singspiel in 1778, for which Mozart wrote Die Entführung aus dem Serail (1782); Dittersdorf's Doktor und Apotheker (1786) and Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (1791), written for Schikaneder's Theater auf der Wieden, carried the form to its height. The generic strings and flute cards stand in for the orchestra's string section and flutes.",
