Its hymnal, Izihlabelelo zamaNazaretha, holds isiZulu hymns by Isaiah Shembe and his son and successor Johannes Galilee Shembe, sung by the congregation and in the sacred dances of the church's festivals, where drums and long imbomu trumpets accompany the dancers. Carol Ann Muller studied the women's performance and edited the hymns with an accompanying CD. The membrane-drum card stands in for the drums and the horns card for the imbomu.",
