  "lineage": "The saya is the drum-song of the Afro-Bolivian communities of the Yungas valleys of La Paz, around Coroico and Tocaña, in which women sing coplas, traditional and improvised verses answered by the group, over the men's drums and a scraped cuancha. Kept alive in community fiestas and, from the late 1980s, by the Movimiento Cultural Saya Afroboliviana, it is the source of the caporal figure of Bolivian festival dance. The membrane-drum card stands in for the saya drums and the güiro card for the cuancha.",
