  "lineage": "Rōkyoku, also called naniwa-bushi, is a Japanese narrative song in which a solo singer alternates sung verse and spoken dialogue to tell tales of loyalty, chivalry and gamblers, accompanied by a player of the thick-necked futozao shamisen (kyokushi) who also calls out encouragement. It grew from Osaka street storytelling in the Meiji era, became a national craze through Tōchūken Kumoemon in the 1900s, and ruled SP records and radio until the 1950s, its stars including Hirosawa Torazō.",
