A songster raises the song, a group of basers answers, and a stickman beats time with a broomstick on the wooden floor while the shouters move in a ring with shuffling feet that never cross, clapping; the auxiliary-percussion card stands in for the stick and the foot-stomp card for the shouters' feet.",
