  "lineage": "Hanamatsuri is the all-night shimotsuki kagura of the Oku-Mikawa mountains in north-eastern Aichi, held in the winter months in villages of Tōei, Toyone and Shitara around a cauldron of boiling water, the yudate rite of the Ise type of kagura. Dancers, among them masked demons and groups of boys, circle the cauldron to drum and flute while onlookers shout the refrain 'tehohe'. The membrane-drum card stands in for the taiko and the kagurabue card for the flute.",
