  "lineage": "Pedi (Northern Sotho) dance of Sekhukhuneland in which each man in a team blows a single-note end-blown pipe (dinaka) from a graded set, the pipes combining in hocket into one repeating melody over drums; women's kiba, mmapadi, is a sung dance in which a leading singer is answered by a chorus over the same drums. Migrant workers carried kiba to hostels and competitions on the Witwatersrand. Hugh Tracey recorded it for ILAM and it has been studied in the journal African Music.
