It flourished in nineteenth-century Calcutta, with kabiyals such as Bhola Moira and Anthony Firingee, and survives in rural West Bengal and Bangladesh. The generic drum card stands in for the Bengali dhol and the chengila card for the kansi bell-metal plate.",
