Revived for public and university ensembles from the late 1960s with Mubin Sheppard's documentation, it is tuned to a five-tone slendro-type scale and uses a keromong kettle-gong row (the bonang card stands in), saron metallophones, kenong, hanging gongs and a two-headed gendang.",
