  "lineage": "The Yaokwa is the longest ritual of the Arawak-speaking Enawenê-Nawê of north-western Mato Grosso, held through the dry season over about seven months, when the clans take turns fishing at collective weirs and offering food to the yakairiti spirits so that cosmic and social order is maintained. Through the cycle the men play flutes, sing and dance together, a repertoire bound to the community's knowledge of fishing, food and the forest. IPHAN registered the ritual as Brazilian cultural heritage and UNESCO inscribed it on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
