Sixteen masked male dancers in monastic robes, wearing masks of real and mythical animals, move from a calm, contemplative part to a rapid, athletic one, accompanied by ten musicians on cymbals, trumpets and drums including the cylindrical bang nga, the hand-held lag nga and the nga chen beaten with a bent stick. Generic membrane-drum, frame-drum, cymbal and long-trumpet cards stand in for the bang nga, lag nga, cymbals and trumpets.",
