Female shamans sing and dance the narratives while male musicians of the same families play janggu, kkwaenggwari, jing, cymbals and taepyeongso in long, complex rhythmic cycles. The rite was designated Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 82-1, with the hereditary musician Kim Seok-chul among its holders.",
