Two playing styles are documented: topayya, in which seated players strike gongs resting on their laps with the palms, and pattong or palook, in which players strike gongs with sticks while dancing in a line. The gong_tamtam card stands in for the gangsa; the drum card stands in for the drums some Benguet ensembles add.",
