  "lineage": "Calipso de El Callao is the carnival song of the gold-mining town of El Callao in Venezuela's Bolívar state, brought by English- and French-Creole-speaking migrants from Trinidad and the Antilles who came for the 19th-century gold rush. Sung in English Creole and Spanish, it is played on the bumbac (a large hand drum), cuatro, a rallo scraper and maracas, later with bass and electric instruments, and accompanies the carnival's madamas, mediopintos and diablos; UNESCO inscribed the carnival in 2016. The membrane-drum card stands in for the bumbac and the guayo card for the rallo.",
